Ethiopians rallied in Addis Ababa in support of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and the military campaign against the Tigrayan forces in the north of the country. Demonstrators also denounced the U.S., which called for a ceasefire in the year-long conflict.
Nine groups, including the Tigray People’s Liberation Front and others with armed fighters, have formed an anti-government alliance in Ethiopia, two of the groups involved have said as rebellious forces claim further advances toward the capital.
