Guinea: Coup uncertainty raises value of bauxite – Al Jazeera

The coup in Guinea earlier this month has given the country an unexpected windfall. Political uncertainty has pushed up the value of its bauxite reserves.

The ore is used to produce aluminum and companies are setting up large-scale operations to cash in.
