Still Here: On May 25th a reckoning with systemic racism was reignited. It’s still here — and so are we.
A report from the UK Government, published in the wake of George Floyd’s death, stated that institutional racism doesn’t exist in the UK’s education, housing or health systems, and that people should look to find the positives in the country’s shameful history with slavery.
The report has caused outrage across the country. Not just among the public, but experts and academics, too – with some saying it could endanger people’s lives.
